JARDIN FANTASTICO

A group of teenagers decide to leave their families behind to gather in a garden-house in order to envisage and experience a new form of living together.

Fantastic Garden is a piece written out-loud by this study group, a collective diary that records adolescent insights about what friendship, family and love are to them. An installation in a real space that makes use of fantasy to rehearse new realities that come up as alternatives in the face of this wounded world.

A site-specific journey that works as an observing device for the rites of passage created by this group to accompany this transition phase between childhood and adolescence.

FANTASTIC GARDEN took place in different places with different communities as a mobile laboratory. The first edition of the play was performed in Buenos Aires, in ZELAYA and participated in FIBA 2023. The second edition was performed at the Rafaela Theatre Festival 2023 and the third edition was performed at FITEI47 in 2024, in Oporto, Portugal.
